No Vacancy Inn and Denim Tears Announce “Red Velvet Cake” Pop-Up in New York

No Vacancy Inn and Denim Tears are proud to present Shelyn Emory's world famous Red Velvet Cake at Procell, New York.

The Red Velvet cake made its first public appearance at the 2016 No Vacancy Inn pop up at Tom Sachs' immersive installation bodega 245. The cake was served alongside rare No Vacancy merch and appeared again later that year at a second collaboration with Sachs at the Brooklyn Museum.
This year to commemorate the life of Emory's late dearly beloved mother who died in 2015, the cake will feature centre stage at No Vacancy Inn's latest pop up with vintage purveyor and friend Brian Procell.
Made once a year for Tremaine's birthday with a secret recipe (now kept safe by Emory's younger brother Torrin), the red velvet cake will be served alongside new limited edition No Vacancy x Denim Tears t-shirts. Torrin who will be baking the cake has previously worked with Dominique Ansel of Cronut fame and the renowned Magnolia Bakery.
